Proceeds from the sales of both posters and canvases of Wein's Ironman: They Don't Really Know print benefit Racers Against Childhood Cancer, a charitable organization that raises money to defeat childhood cancer. RACC commissioned Wein, a Wisconsin native, to develop the piece specifically for the non-profit organization. Wein has developed a growing portfolio of endurance sports scenes and his work has been shown nationwide.

"Bridging pragmatic photography and illusory oil painting, Wein's work aptly blends the physical realities of endurance sport with the idealistic emotion resulting from athletic pain, determination and self-belief," according to Onmilwaukee.com, a popular arts and culture web site.

Available in 30" x 12" poster or canvas, or a 75" x 30" canvas, Wein's Ironman includes motivational text written by RACC founder and multiple Ironman and marathon finisher Cole Braun including, "Ironman is the pain, agony, and the almost reckless passion of pushing yourself beyond the limits of what you are capable of." Braun also worked with Wein, a former colleague, to design and create the piece.

"I worked with Cole for a number of years and saw the passion and determination it takes to participate in a triathlon," Wein says. "It was very exciting to create this work for RACC and see how much it has touched the hearts of athletes who do these kinds of events."
